A new identity for a great design classic. The AA chair is now interpreted entirely in stainless steel.

The chainmail that adorns it, traditionally used in safety clothing, is featured for the first time on a design icon. The result is astonishing: this industrial material gives it unexpected flexibility and transparency.

The AA revisited by LELABO design finds here a new brilliance and incredible lightness.

Hervé Langlais

In 2006, he became the artistic director of Le Labo Design, successfully repurposing metal plates and chainmail for design purposes. It was during this time that he proposed a chainmail cover for Airborne's AA chair: this model was praised for its sophisticated yet raw aesthetic. The reviews were unanimous: it's a unique chair that combines industrial haute couture with modern design.
